This was part of our staff photo display at the Almaden Branch Library, San Jose Public Library. The sheepdog's name is Shaggy. She's a crowd pleaser (especially the 3-5 year-olds).
This blog is part of our S.J. Learning 2.0 program which is a vital tool for the staff at the San Jose Public Library to become at least aware of and somewhat conversant regarding the newer technologies that are coming on-line.

Walk softly and carry a big stick, and you, too, can capture the attention of a dozen 2-year-olds—with a slight caveat. That stick would need to be shaped like an oboe and carried by a mild-mannered "Mr. Ed."
Not the equine Mr. Ed of 1960s television fame, but the intellectual, storytelling, oboe-playing magician, Ed Koetitz, youth services librarian of the Almaden Branch Library.
